Why did you choose Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training for your people?
We felt there was a lack of initial support and limited understanding about mental health in the workplace. We wanted to give people the confidence and knowledge to point people in the right direction when in need, as the lack of understanding can often prevent people from helping.
What’s been the impact of having the MHFA training?
Those that are now trained in MHFA have a better understanding about mental health issues and feel confident talking about mental wellbeing.
We’ve seen the Mental Health First Aiders supporting each other, as well as supporting colleagues that ask for help.
